It has been a difficult year for so many in the motorsport industry, so I’m sure it was wonderful to finally be back on the track over the weekend, and it was definitely worth the wait here at Credo!
Our involvement with Motorsport is in it’s third year and we now have relationships with the MINI Challenge, BTCC and Formula 2!
We were at the edge of our seats on Saturday watching the F2 race at Silverstone. Our relationship with UNI Virtuosi racing bonded further as we saw the line up with Callum Ilott 2nd in the standings. He shockingly stalled before the formation lap so had to join at the back of the field, however, he made excellent recovery and ended a remarkable 5th. Zhou started 8th, and after some fantastic overtaking, came through the pack to end 2nd! Well done Virtuosi, a fabulous team effort.
Another exciting reason to be in front of the TV, as the BTCC kicked off this weekend. With some solid pace for the entire weekend from Chris Smiley and Senna Proctor from Excelr8 Motorsport , the Hyundai’s that Credo have sponsored were outstanding, and Smiley came through to win a podium 2nd finish! Well done to everyone involved.
The JCW’s in the MINI Challenge Championship had their first run out this weekend too and it was wonderful to see them on ITV for the first time. Some very exciting racing and some great results for Nathan Harrison as he came 2nd in the first race and then ‘victory’ in the 2nd race! Well done Nathan, superb start to the Championship.
Lewis Galer, also in the JCW category came 12th, but a fantastic race starting from 20th in the pack!
Our other sponsored driver Tom Lebbon who was racing in the Junior Ginettas took pole position and after a terrific race ended in 2nd place which was another great start to the season.
We were disappointed we couldn’t be there watching at Donington and Silverstone this weekend, but couldn’t be more proud to see our Logo on all these cars. Thank you to everyone involved, truly great to watch!
