The 2018-19 season was the first in which Credo supported local football team Stalham Town. The link with the club comes via Lewis, Jordan & Neil – valued staff & players for both.
Both the firsts & reserves were hopeful of promotion as the season started in early August despite large changes in personnel of players & managers during the off season.
Jordan was an ever present in the first team throughout the season, picking up Young Player of the Year and amidst a team that started the season well before struggling in the run up to Christmas. A stronger finish meant the team would finish 4th, narrowly missing out on promotion back to the Anglian Combination Premier Division. Season highlights were the double over local rivals NWTFC, as well as beating the top two in UEA and Mundford!
Reserves were kept stable with Neil at the heart of the defence for a majority, alongside Lewis at full back who represented both teams throughout.
It was another strong start to the season with the boys occupying the top spots in Division 5 North through until the Christmas period. Ultimately, early promotion hopes were dashed with the player availability limiting team selections. A tricky run into the close season resulted in a 9th place finish for the Res team.
Both teams hope to build the squads for next season and push for two promoted sides.
